I had my rear derailleur replaced at this local shop, but ever since then it has been making this noise everytime I ride it. I can't reproduce this same sound on the stand, so it seems it might be inside the rear derailleur. Functionally, there's no problem, just the sound is very annoying. I took it back to the shop the guy couldn't figure it out either, he replied that the derailleur was new and packaged in the original packaging before he installed it. I was hoping to post and see if anyone may have had an experience like this. Thank you.
Creaky spring bed type sound from rear derailleur?

Sure it’s the derailleur? Does it only happen when pedaling?
More often than not I feel like weird ass noises that are difficult to sus out are pedal creak. Put some anti seizure compound on them and slap em back on, easy way to rule that out as an issue.
Sometimes the old derailleur is ‘shaped’ according to the worn chain. When you replace the derailleur, the chain does not seat properly on the new teeth.
I’m just here for the “wAsH YOur bIKe!” Comments
Wash you bike, clean the chain, oil the chain then try again
