Hi everyone! Im from countryside Brazil, and as you may know, we dont have the strongest currency here, so Hi-End parts or even full-built bmx bikes are not in the book for absolute begginers like me. They can cost up to $1000 here, my whole montly salary, So this is my go-to as a guy who can only do fakies, bunny hops and drop the quarter.
I built it at home , buying separate parts and slowly putting it together. Its an aluminium Frame, overhead steering, single piece cranks, aero rims (wich i know its not apropriate for jumping stuff), and a aftermarket brazilian bmx brand handle bar. Also runs a simple threaded wheel hub (not cassete) and no brakes.
Im M27 and overweight, so im going slow on learning the tricks, but for now, im very happy about this build that cost me 1k reais (~$200).
This is what 3rd world riders have to go through, expensive hobbies are 5x more expensive here, but we try to do the best we can with what we got!
Im posting here cus i didnt find any bmx communities from Brasil, looks like reddit is pretty empty for BR bmx riders. Or maybe they’re here!
Cherrs from Paraná!!

Man I feel you, took me almost a year of saving a decade ago to build my rig here in the Philippines.
Looks nice, just have fun with it
