Hey everyone, here for my yearly search of info on the next project bike. Been thinking of a Crust Evasion Trail 140. Looking for a fun steel 650b bike that's also semi upright and playful. I have a Tumbleweed Persuaision bar in steel that I want to use. Little mixed on sizing because they give a size range, then say size up. Small max recommended rider size is 5'5, and as luck has it, I'm 5'6. Medium makes sense in the whole size up game since I'm at the bottom of its sizing chart. My current bike is a 2024 Salsa Fargo in a size small and that bike fits so well. Did the geo comparison and the Crust is has a 79mm longer reach in the medium.

Anyone have an Evasion Trail 140 that can shed some light on the sizing

You-specific sizing aside, one of those bikes is intended for drop bars and the other is intended for sweepy flat bars, so you can’t really compare reach and TT lengths without accounting for that.

  2. I was very confused by their size up stuff when buying an evasion of my own. Usually ride a 56 but it said I should get a 58. I went with their advice and am glad.
