  1. You might want to post this over on the winter cycling sub if you’re planning on using it year round in Chicago. You’ll need snow tires (and you’ll probably want fenders too) so the big consideration is if the frame has enough clearance to fit snow tires. They can also help you out with what bike maintenance for winter riding looks like.

  2. The one that fits you best.

    If it was me I’d go for the Kent since it seems way more comfortable, not sure about the ss/fixie style brakes and then the brake hoods. The Fuji is not a bad bike, but it’s probably gonna be painful to ride, at least until you get used to it. If I went for the Fuji I would try to fit wider tires and different brake hoods, probably going for some Sram ones (they have a model for single speed).

  3. The Kent has bigger tire clearance which is very important for commuting. I like  Fujis but the wheels and skinny tires (21?) Are obsolete .
