This bike was given to me and has most likely not been rode in 15+ years. I put some new tires on and started riding. Everything runs smooth enough but this cable was originally hitting the spokes but after sometime it angled towards the back and is now dangerously close to where the teeth and chain come together.
I know very little about bikes but can learn quickly. I appreciate any help!

you can cut it and stick an end cap on it. if you don’t have the tools or the cap i’m sure your local bike shop can help you out
I cut it and solder the end. So much nicer than crimping a cap on it
