Im trying to buy my secondary for trail cruises in vermont and also pick ups with the kid with a hitch in the back. Would be cool to keep it a bit agressive for when im put and about. Thoughts?

Based on your summary, I’d go with the Diverge for the tire clearance and gearing while maintaining some agility. The Diverge is really close to a do everything drop bar bike. Nothing about the Roubaix is aggressive.
