=ABOUT ME=
Ever wondered why your city’s transit just doesn’t seem quite up to snuff? RMTransit is here to answer that, and help you open your eyes to all of the different public transportation systems around the world!
Reece (the RM in RMTransit) is an urbanist and public transport critic residing in Toronto, Canada, with the goal of helping the world become more connected through metros, trams, buses, high-speed trains, and all other transport modes.
you have not felt true pain until you’ve seen A Streetcar turn around in Toronto’s East End

No screeching, im impressed. At the belgian coast, people buy an apartment near the tram line, be there for one week out of the year, and then complain about the noise… the tram rides here nearly daily from 1885, (or later depending on were you are😅) ya knew this thing was here so stop complaining. Thanks
And elsewhere in some places eg Melbourne Australia the tram driver just walks to the other end of the tram Because someone was thinking!
ice spicy
Idk if the tightest bend on the Melbourne tram network is a more unnerving sight as non articulated High floor trams run that stretch of rail.
As a european I have 2 questions:
– What is a streetcar??
– What the hell is this video about?
Tram infrastructure kinda lacking, as a varsovian i am laughing maniacally right now because ive never experienced this kinda tilt before
Looks like a centipede
Imagine if it’s Going to Derailed💀
That's a German train🇩🇪
Here we call them trams
Wait till you’ve seen a turn around at the Wuppertal Schwebebahn 😅
Dallas has a terrible turn like this!
It has 4 expanders and multi dimensional joints, this is not a problem.
That would be so fun to ride for kids..lol
What’s a streetcar? Is it the tram or the car?
OUCH! That hurt!
I'm more concern by the biker
So beauty ❤
And this is why trams are not a popular mode of transportation. It's basically an articulated bus on rails. If it was placed on top of an elevated platform, then it's worth building
Such a dangerous intersection. Idk why they don't have proper lights. It's only a matter of time.
I’ve been on that tram!
There have gotta be some bearings getting f'd up by that
@RMTransit how does Toronto deal with squeaks on turns like this? I realized recently in Boston the boylston curve wasn't screaming as loud as it usually does but I'm not sure what they did to minimize the sound
The centipede
OK, what´s ya problem ? 🤔
wow they are sharing tracks, definitely a no no to how Sydney designs its trams. Even without sharing, a Sydney tram ran into a fire truck that ran a red light.
I can't image how chaotic these Toronto streetcars are to traffic lol
Yeo I live right by there lol 😂
Tram: hehehe
White car: backing up
Cool Tramway ❤
That street car is gorgeous. Wish I had that in my city. But LRTs and monorails are a better option since out land has many hills and slopes.
It is an electric train

Yes. 🚊🚊🚊🚊
That is a team 😅
I thought I was about to witness some live leak footage involving the biker and the streetcar 😂
🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄🚄
I thought you called it a tram.
Also, I refer to them as streetcars because I have been very into the ropeway sector of the transportation industry. Trams are also a type of ropeway that utilize 2 cars that jig-back between two or more stations. They are called jig-back or Reversible Aerial Tramways.
It's turning on a road, it's not like the curve could be banked!
This is some serious misdesign
Queen East loop
Its a tram mate
There’s an area in Portland that is just like this.
🎵 i wonder if u know how they live in Tokyo………….
Aint that a tram?
