After months of scouring FB marketplace and online shops I went into the local bike shop for Black Friday and found this 2025 Giant Contend AR1 for $1500 marked down from $2100!! Couldn’t be more happy with it and it’s a huge upgrade from my hand me down that’s 15 years old and about 3 sizes too small…
If anyone has any recommendations for modifications/maintenance for general quality of life let me know. Happy to be a part of this community!!!

I really like that frame design. I feel your joy.
I’d wax the chain now that Winter is close. Maybe a few drops of nano oil in the cable housings, some grease on the part of the seat post that is in the frame,a couple of drops on the derailleur spring screws, that’s about it. All of that because winter weather isn’t friendly.
