What year is my Bridgestone MB-5?

Hey y’all!
I just got this beautiful Bridgestone MB-5 off FB marketplace for a screaming deal of $250 (My first vintage mtb!). I’m struggling to find what year it is from! The serial number is: M2GB08384. Which doesn’t seem to follow the standard serial number pattern that I’ve seen online (Letter coinciding with month and first number being the year). The frame also has almost a Periwinkle hue which is why I haven’t accepted it as a 1993 in the Pearl White (willing to be wrong on this though!) as most of the Pearl white ones I’ve seen are like egg shell white with no Periwinkle/Lavender hue! I’m thinking maybe it was professionally repainted? Or maybe is post ‘95 so it was a Japanese only color way? Any and all leads would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know the rest of the bike is original! (Minus a few random things probably)
