

So in the first picture it’s in gear 1 at the rear and gear 3 at the front so big and big sprockets. The derailleur is obviously pushed towards which I thought was about right but if you look at the 2nd picture when it’s in one of the smaller sprockets the chain is sagging abit as if it’s too long. Should I remove another 2 links or will it then be too short to go to big and big sprockets.
Note: if it was my bike which I was keeping I would remove it as I would never go in big and big but I’m actually flipping it so don’t know what the next person is going to do with it and don’t want the chain to be too short incase they use gear 1 at the back and gear 3 at the front and then it damage the derailleur (if the chain is actually too short).
What do people think? Tia

How does it look when you´re on the smallest sprocket/small ring in front? That´s the combination that gets you in trouble when the chain´s too long.
Probably not, Adjust the B screw to increase tension and it should be fine. Here’s a video on how to do that:
