I basically turned the shoe until I unbolted it from the cleat. I was half a day into a three day trip. Long ride with only one foot clipped in. Fortunately it was on a flat rail trail

  2. In the picture, Push the yellow tab closest to the frame down and away from the frame. That will mimic the twist out you normally do to release.

This is going to sound stupid maybe but have you tried reaching around the shoe and trying to turn the cleat directly?

Also maybe adjust your clip out tension to the minimum and then try?

Another way is to loosen the retention tension adjustment off all the way, this will allow you to pull the shoe out.

You can open the jaw on the pedal to drop the cleat out. It takes some thumb strength, but you can do it!

  6. Grab the cleat and rip it out by hand. Do the same movement you do with your foot, and remember it’ll take a lot of force to do it by hand because usually your much stronger legs are doing it.
