Check spoke tension. If everything is somewhat tight you’ll be fine to finish your ride.

This is fairly common on new wheel builds. After a ride or two, throw it back in the truing stand and check tension and trueness. It’s possible some spokes has unwound and/or settled in.

Also make sure your tire is 100% on the bead and your casing isn’t warped. If your wheel is still true, there’s a good chance it’s the tire.

Considering how new this is, I would hope the stop would do a quick check at no additional cost.

If you want to see how out of true your wheels are, watch the rim not the tire. Tires can often not seat perfectly or are just plain not perfectly shaped, and honestly i think thats a pretty insignificant wobble.

  3. You need to check along the edge of the rim for wheel trueness, not the tire. Tires wobble sometimes and it is usually not much of an issue, besides being unsightly and annoying, once you start riding. There are copious options on YouTube if you want to see someone show you how to check your wheel and true it up if needed.

I would say it’s fine. It’s only a bike. If my car had that problem I would really worry about it

  5. We can’t tell from this angle, but you’ve got plenty of tire clearance so if there are no slack spokes send it. You’d need to hold something steady near the rim to measure lateral runout, and pluck spokes on the same side of the rim and listen for significant differences in tension.

Sometimes when pumping my flat tire it could be like that, try pumping it again using co2.

Could be tire related, or maybe 1 or 2 spokes off a little. If it were my wheel I’d throw it on the stand at the closest opportunity, whenever I feel like trying a wheel. Otherwise perfectly fine to continue riding until you can get it checked out.

  8. Yes. It’s only barely out, and doesn’t appear to have any flat spots. It could just be the tire. Does the rim have the same little wobble?

I’ve built plenty of wheels that are dead true, put a tire on, this is how they look. And, this case is not even bad. If you can’t feel it riding, it’s almost always the tire. When I can feel it, still the tire. The tire can be bad and make the rim wobble too, so zip tie method may not give an accurate result. Want to know for sure? Take the tire off and spin it. But this doesn’t look bad, for a tire wobble.

  10. No idea I can’t see the wheel only the tyre. Wheel might be fine & it’s just the tyre that isn’t seated correctly or tyre might be seated fine and the wheel has a buckle we honestly can’t say which without seeing the wheel.

  11. This is 100% just the tire bead not seated evenly. It pulls to the left at the one little hump. Look at the bead in that spot. It will be more tucked in than the rest of the bead. If you can muscle it out with your hands, then that solves it. It may be a huge pain in the ass, but if you lack wrist / grip strength, you can just deflate the tube entirely, spray the rim and bead generously with soapy water all over, then pump the tire to its max psi rating. It should hopefully pop into place evenly, may still need a little bit of massaging.

No it’s not. It’s upside down and spinning in thin air instead of rolling on tarmac or dirt.. hope you get it fixed ASAP!

  13. Tyre wobble, perfectly normal, never had a wheel/tyre not do this and I’ve had some pretty decent built wheels.
