  1. IDK about where you live, but I’ve had something similar happen to me in my city, and I was able to call up the transit office and register a complaint. I had the number on the back of the bus and the time and place of the occurrence. There are cameras all over the buses, so I actually got a response back that they checked the camera and they saw that I was there and that the driver should have seen me. It was a positive outcome.

  2. Bus drivers in my city have a low bar for employment. They do not care about cyclists or seemingly any pedestrians safety.

  3. I rarely have a problem with metro buses, except they sometimes startle me when they pass because the engine is in the way back. School buses, on the other hand, are an absolute menace.

  4. Bus drivers are among the most aggressive and thoughtless that I have to deal with on my commute. I’ve been taking a route that avoids them this summer and fall and it’s been lovely. Just one dump truck driver close passing me; all the car and light truck drivers are respectful and safe.

Bus drivers are the worst. They seem to actively try and run over cyclists and flip out over the most minor inconvenience.

This is coming from someone who thinks most drivers are decent and attentive to cyclists.
