This is my brother’s old bicycle (I assume it’s a road bike), probably from 2011 or maybe 2015. It’s at least 10 years old. I’ve used this bicycle before for fun rides across my neighbourhood in my teens. I’m 25 now and I want to cycle again, I don’t really want to get a new bicycle. Can I “revive” this bicycle or it’s not worth it?
Please kindly give me your opinions hehe

You can use this as an opportunity to learn how to maintain and do basic repairs on a bike if you are willing to invest some time and a bit of money to accumulate the basic tools and whatever parts needed to fix up the bike. Your photo shows that the bike has standard parts like a freehub/cassette system, 2-piece crank, hollowtech bottom bracket etc. that makes repair and maintenance relatively easy so it’s good to learn on.
[The Park Tool Repair Help](https://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help) website covers pretty much everything one would need to know to get a bike like that back to good operating condition. You can use that as your guide.
Definitely. Check the ABC
Air: replace tyres and tubes (these are consumables that deteriorate with age)
Brakes: check if brakes are working, if not, replace brake pads and brake cables as needed.
Chain: Get a cheap chain wear indicator and chain quick link pliers. If chain is worn past 0.75 and/or rusty, replace the chain.
WD-40, Degreaser and lubricant is your friend here.
For more complicated repairs e.g shift cables plus indexing, bottom bracket issues, just bring it in to your local bike shop
Aside from new rubber (tires, tubes, possibly the brake pads) it probably just needs cleaning and lubrication. Well made bikes of any age can still be good if they’ve been treated well. Worn and damaged components can be replaced until parts no longer are available. About the only things that limit the life of a frame are corrosion and mechanical fatigue, the latter from very extensive use by a strong rider.
Of course! As long as nothing is seriously wrong with it, it shouldn’t cost much to get it running nicely again.
I just want to know why there is a USB cable near the seat post?
Swear I saw this same bike at a thrift store
