If you’re not using the straps, do they sometimes get stuck/slide over something somewhere?

Looks solid! I have always love custom builds for commute and keeping it low cost. I used to get shit because I would help people build their first commuter bike this way as opposed to buying new. Commuter bikes are never safe and are always getting picked out by thieves.
