Hi, I have a 2016 s-works enduro and it has sram guide rs 4pot brakes.
They are horrible.
The back brake lever is super stiff and has no feel whatsoever and is inconsistent and sticky and the front brake has basically no friction and the pistons are sticky, the lever is spongey and it needs a bleed but I can't bleed it because the bit broke in the bleed port.
I need advice on new brakes. I have shimano slx 4 pot's with resin pads on my ebike which I like a bit but my favorite feeling brakes are the 2 pot avid brakes on my old bike and my mums bike. The braking is soo good and they have great feeling/modulation.
I need advice on new brakes. I want 4 pot brakes and I am on a budget, I also like to have a lot of braking power but I like good modulation and feel and I'll probably get metallic pads (because i think thats what was on the avid brakes. I was thinking of something like sram db8, trp trail evo or shimano deore m6120 or something else. I need advice on some brakes that would be right for me. I would like to keep it under $200aud. thanks for your help.

The piston inside the lever swells up over time. It is possible to fix, but you need new internals and some very narrow needle nose pliers.
I recommend getting a new pair of brakes. There are deep sales on many brakes. A pair of SRAM DB8’s can be had for around €80.
Buy a pair of sram codes off ebay of you like the feel of sram brakes
