A small excerpt from our recent review of the newly launched Canyon Grizl, This bike is made for bikepacking…

So, first off, well, this frame comes with loads of mounts. You’ve got three-pack mounts on the fork here. You’ve got fender mounts. You have loads of mounts within the frame. And you have two on the top tube here for a direct mount top tube bag, plus rear rack mounts as well. So, that all sounds pretty normal, right? A lot of bikes have these kind of bike packing features, but Canyon certainly took it a step further with the full mounty handlebar, this Fidlock attached frame bag, and the Eclipse Dynamo lighting system.

  1. I had the previous version of the bike and sold it because the seat post kept slipping. I bought a crux . Boiiiii do I wish I had this new grizl it looks so sweet! And they fixed the darn seat post issue!

  2. The whole goal with direct to consumer companies like canyon is to pass along the saving since there aren’t us greedy bike shop middlemen in the equation. And here you consumers are, paying full pop for some plastic cookie cutter. Good job being marks! 😂😂🎉🎉

  3. ddaaamn, this thing is sick! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 love the design. Its like a rag that became wet – so rough and cool. Also the raks are badass 🎉 THE HADNLEBARS…. ✊🏆🥇 Whoever designed this masterpiece deserves respect

    Astonishing work ❤

  5. Front light needs to mounted lower, e.g. on the front rack, front fender, or on the fork. A light mounted at the handlebar will easily blind oncoming traffic (cyclists, and especially cars), or you need to point it too far down to see far enough.

Paying so much, and getting the light mounted in a crappy way seems like a joke to me.

  6. Bought a Grizl last month. Chain rusted in less than 53 km. My wife's 3 yr old Scott bike went through same routes, clean and lub process but no rust present. What's worse is the pathetic after sales service waving me off by accusing me of wetting the chain and not drying it proper or else swimming in the ocean with it ! Im a vet cyclist and still own and maintain my last seven bikes in decent condition. Certainly none of the oldies have rusted chains ! Im not even a month old client and am already an ex client. Won't be touching Canyon with a link pole. You have been warned.
