Not to pass judgement but it looks like you have some larger gearing, pegs on drive side might be problematic.

Do not use pegs on this setup, it’s not designed for it whatsoever, you’ll bend or shear the axle and damage the frame.

I don’t know what Redline frame that is, and as others have said it’s not really designed for pegs, but the below will work. You’ll need a long socket extension and a 15mm socket to install them.

You said you want your son to stand and ride on the pegs with you? If you meant that then pegs are fine to use.
But grinding on them or any kind of Impact will bend the axle and destroy the hub.
For pegs dont get screw on pegs. They bend, they get loose, they suck.
Normal pegs are made for 14mm axles but include an adapter for 3/8 / 10mm axles.
Do not put pegs on that.
