you only do 20 minutes of independent driving with a satnav why do they call it independent driving if you’re actually using a satnav it’s not independent the satnav is telling you where to go independent driving would be just right here’s a car go and drive about for a bit choose where we anyway independent driving is where the SAT or following road signs you only do it for 20 minutes yard turn left then you have reached your destination you only do it for about 20 minutes and then 10 minutes The Examiner is going to direct you in total the driving test is only about 30 minutes of actual driving yeah they say 38 to 40 minutes but maneuver wasting time um stopping on the left loads of times wasting time you’ve got to do an eyesight check show me tell me questions signing the examiner’s iPad form loads of things wasting time it’s about 30 minutes of driving in total so the driving test isn’t very long at all it’s basically an episode of Simpsons and done

  1. Do they not follow the road signs anymore? Satnavs were a thing when I did but but they weren't part of the test so I just assumed they'd do 10 minutes on a satnav and 10 following road signs or something

  2. I went the wrong way on my independent drive before sat nav’s and didn’t get marked down.. they judged my driving not how well I could follow directions 😅(at least my assessor did😂)

  3. I have my driving test this morning am looking forward to it but am nervous to but confident. Am hopeful I will pass 1st time I passed my theory first time and that’s harder than the driving test I have everything crossed 🤞🤞

  4. Its definitely worth practicing with a sat nav before your test, i managed to pass with 0 minors on the 25th of September. My examiner left the sat nav on the entire time only giving me instructions when i needed to perform a manoeuvre.
