Can’t figure out how to get my brake pad to align with my front rim. the pad is at the lowest it can be on these tektro oryx (v-brake style pads). I was able to dial in the rear in 10 minutes. It is an 80s 26er, maybe the canti posts on the fork are too high up?
any help is appreciated

Is the fork built for a 26” rim?
I think switching to a 650b wheel will work.
i dont have the source, but i believe that spacing of canti posts got wider in the early 90s, so if you are trying to use brakes from after then on an 80s mtb, it wont fit. you need brakes that were used around the same time. did the bike come with brakes?
