I flew in from Iceland, reassembled my bike at the airport, and pedaled 35 kilometers straight into the heart of Paris.
Lunch? A crispy croque monsieur.
Dinner? Slow-cooked boeuf bourguignon, local red wine, and an unforgettable omelette norvégienne—an ice cream cake flamed tableside with Grand Marnier. 🔥

The bike is ready. My legs are ready. And the journey begins here.

This is it. Day one of my bike packing journey from Paris to Lisabon. From the airport, I rode 35 kilometers into the heart of Paris. I stopped for a classic Paris lunch, Croc Majour. Simple, crispy, comforting. Later, I checked into a small hotel to rest my legs and clean off the travel dust. Then I had for dinner. Pure heaven, a rich slowcooked beef bunion. And for dessert, something I never tried before, a baked Alaska style ice cream cake covered in mar and flam with grand mariner right at the table. A perfect mix of cold and fire. Day one done. Paris welcomed me with the best way possible. Tomorrow the real right begins.
