
there's 6 roundabouts on this street, all with bike lanes terminating at each intersection. You're merging every couple hundred feet with traffic going 35mph. To top it off, delivery drivers and mail persons regularly use this as a "park anywhere" section. Thanks but I'm just going to illegally use the sidewalk officer.

I think for roundabouts they are directing bikes onto the sidewalk so you can go around outside of the vehicle traffic.
Yes similar to a road in my city. I just ride in the car lane through the roundabout. Not ideal, but before the retrofit, when it was two lanes with no shoulder and no sidewalk, at least one cyclist I personally knew was killed on it.
What’s wrong with using the roundabout? That’s how every bike lane into roundabout situation I’ve ever seen works, unless it redirects to a bike path next to sidewalk
That’s actually really good compared to what we have in my town. The bike lanes here are shared road lanes, no separation.
