


My manager, Dan at Durst Cycle, who was the best mechanic/man you could imagine, used to cut me off saying "Chris, it's a repair, not a restoration". He was good at wheeling in my obsessive compulsive need to fix everything on a bike and just fix what they asked for.

yeah i always had the same problem. during the slower months i’d spend a full day on a tuneup just to have something to do 😀 in the end that extra work results in customer loyalty so it’s not a total waste of time.
I’m actually going to leave this absurd post here. Maybe I’ll fix the grammar. But hey, let’s share some stories of those old school guys who have been there for decades at our favorite whops. and took the time to share with us annoying kids/teens/all of us,

I feel this. I have a carefully built 1973 Raleigh Carlton Super Course townie, and the *only* “modern” black finish is on the Brooks Flyer springs. Cherish those plated springs!
