Hello! I’m getting a 1up bike rack Quick Rack in a couple months and I am considering ordering a Draw-Tite hitch receiver for my Subaru Crosstrek.
For you 1UP rack owners, what do you guys use for security measures? To keep the rack and bike most secured.
Not sure where to start. Any images or comments would be great! Thanks.

I’m looking for a new bike rack. What made you go with 1up rather than kuat or Thule?
They sell locks for the hitch bolt and for the wheel locks, if you’re gonna get them it’s best to do so at the time of ordering since then it’s all the same key.
Personally I just use a u-lock on my rear wheel
If I’m travelling and have to leave the bike for longer than I’m comfortable with, or if it’s out of sight.
Mach 2 is 10x better
I use their hitch lock and wheel locks but they are apparently weak as heck. you could also use a long-shank padlock on the hitch.
I would never leave my bikes on the rack out of sight though, locked or unlocked. It’s basically to give me a little peace of mind while getting food on a road trip or the like.
I use my u-lock and a 6ft cable to lock the bikes to the hitch. I use the supplied hitch lock on the hitch.
That looks like a crossbow made of bionicles 🤣
I’d suggest looking into Quikr Stuff before you pull the trigger on the 1up. I would at least use a couple Voille straps – one at the bottom of each wheel and around the platform of the rack.
I have a 6-ft [chain with padlock](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5C59X21?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share).
I run the chain through the frame and rear wheel and padlock it to the hitch. Even then, I don’t leave the bike unattended for more than a couple of hours.
I keep a rack and bike in my garage, The bedroom will work too.
