Hey all, guy on FB selling this bike right down the street from me. He’s asking $1700 but said he is slightly negotiable. Have been struggling to decide whether I should upgrade my current bike to a better road bike and get aero bars, or get a tri bike. I enjoy group rides and the convenience of a regular road bike but also spend a lot of time on my trainer preparing for an upcoming Ironman. However if this is a good deal, I’ll go for it. Offer $1,400 cash in hand and if he says no just walk away.
In my market that’s a bargain price, but if I’m completely honest you can still try and lower it a bit. If your main jam will be Ironmans it’s better to spend on a full Tri bike than a road bike with clip ons.
