It's been pretty much two weeks since I got the Gravel Aero wheels from Elite. For the uninitiated, it's a carbon wheelset with the notable inner width of 32mm, pretty much Zipp 303 XPLR but cheaper and hooked.
45mm are flush with the rim, 50mm bulge out the tiniest bit. The freehub is extremely loud but unfortunately, the sound is a bit irregular, almost as if there's a portion of the ratchet that engages more or harder somehow. Could be my wheelset and I haven't noticed any engagement issue but still worth noting.
The wheels do ship with a roll of tubeless tape but you have to apply it on your own. It's also just enough for two rims, nothing more nothing less.
Shipping took two weeks from China to Germany and the box was pretty much intact.
I'm pretty satisfied and haven't found any issues aside from the mentioned ones.

I have the same wheels on my new Orbea Terra. Bike looks very nice and I ride very nice. I put 50c tyres but they became 55c tyres 🙂
I have a pair of Elitewheels MTB 27.5ers and I have the same hub sound issue. It forces me to pedal more instead of coast so that I don’t hear the sound.
How do the wheels ride? Do you notice any improvement in riding? Is it worth upgrading as opposed to sticking with stock aluminum rims?
Got one waiting to be shipped.
Do you run two set of wheels that you swap or is it your only one?
How was putting the cassette ?
I’m waiting for these wheels to arrive, let’s see how they perform. I have a nice pair of wheels so it’s more like a test than anything else.
i have the same ones, rides great. vittoria gravel mixed 45mm are sitting exactly at 45mm and it’s so light and comfortable to ride on. Very happy although 45mm height suprised me a lot on my first windy ride, nothing serious happend but I’ve needed some time to learn to ride with that.
Hahh, I have the same mudguards, handlebar(Ritchey WCS Venture Max V2?) and reflective thingies 🙂 also an elitewheels drive g45 ss.
Got this wheel set for 2 weeks now and have been on 2 rides since. Definitely rolls much better than my DT Swiss stock wheels. I have to agree with the weird free wheel sound. I thought that was only my wheels until you guys mentioned it also. On my ride today it was windy and yes I felt it especially when I was descending. My road bike has some Hunts 50mm so this was nothing strange to me and I just slowed down a bit and was more carefully when passing edges with gaps. It’s definitely an upgrade which I have no regret in doing. Regarding the free hub sound, would another brand free hub be able to fit if I decided to change it ?
Nice, Did you order from Aliexpress or the elitewheels website?
