  1. Yes. Too short. It should look much like that when on the largest cog in the rear and largest ring on the front (if you have front derailleur).

    Thats not how the chain speeds work.

    The speed is the width of the chain not the length of the chain.

    Buy a new chain and cut it longer

  3. You don’t need a 10 speed chain but a longer 9 speed one. You also need a chain tool to shorten because the chain will be too long.

    You normally add 1 link pair after it’s around the two biggest cogs with most modern 1x 2 link pairs with shimano. I can’t count how many short you are here but cues sells super long chains so.. is that a proper cues chain?

    Yes it’s too short but the speed of the chain refers to its width not its length. So you still need a 9 speed chain if everything else is 9 speed, you just need a longer one.

    I can hear your poor derailleur screaming 😱 from way over here in California. Yes ! It’s too short.
