Tires cracking after 6 months of moderate use. I never over inflated and bike is stored in covered patio. Cracking was noticed one week after returning from a recent biking trip in Yosemite valley. It's a only a 3k elevation difference from where I live. Has anyone experienced this with same or similar tires? Curious to know if it's from the elevation gain. However, we traveled with three bikes. Tires were: Contis, Panaracer and Kenda touring. I'm looking for replacement(s) and not sure if I should replaced with the same tire because I like the look and ride or move on. I'll be checking for manufacturer date code soon. Could have been old stock.

this is what happens when you get new old stock tires that sat on the shelf and were not stored properly.
Probably happened when you took your bike to Africa.
