Used to be a courier back in the 2000s in London. Carried everything from £50k in cash to passports to 25 pairs of high heels to a high end fashion shoot.
I also did organ and blood transfers which required rapid delivery (you had to be one of the top 10 riders to qualify for those as it was high pressure).
Most of it back then were massive legal documents which had to be ferried between 2 companies, so it was mostly pretty mundane. But the interesting stuff was good, and some of the places I went into to pick up/deliver where wild.
As a delivery driver I start at 5am. Yes people order stuff that early. 😊
