it’s a perfect day to plant 1200 tulips so let’s do it so first step digging the trenches this is definitely the least favorite part and honestly we’re still not done so let’s bring in our wholesale tulips This Is How They come if you’ve ever wondered and because we’re planting them for flower farming we’re planting them with the egg carton spacing and of course everyone’s favorite cat Oreo needs to join us as well as some chickens after what feels like forever we get done five of the 12 boxes and it’s looking good so then to add to that I’m putting what I have for compost and then we’re just raking over the soil on top and finishing with a bed of leaves for tulips in the spring

  1. When will your tulips come up? I'm Zone 4 but mine won't come up til June and by then the market for them has passed. What else do you grow to have blooming at the same time?

  2. How does anyone prevent the squirrels from digging them up? I can't plant a single bulb without the neighborhood Squirrel Mafia in my garden by night fall. Come morning, there is nothing left.

  3. I planted 200 tulips exactly the same way outside one of my bay windows This was about for years ago none of them really came up and when I went to re dig the spot they had all disappeared 🤷

  4. "Egg carton spacing" is really helpful. So many gardeners are vague about how close to plant and I worried about the technique of just tossing them into the bed! thank you1
