I’m using a Selle San Marco short nose saddle now and generally happy with it on most rides under 50 miles, when I get over that, the saddle starts to feel hard and occasionally numbness sets in. Has anyone used this Ascent product and do you like it on long rides?

If your saddle is making you numb after any amount of time, it doesn’t fit properly. Whether or not this particular saddle works for someone else is irrelevant. Saddle fit is incredibly personal and the only way to find what works is measuring what you can and then lots of trial and error
I used to have issues with saddle pain and numbness until I got my bike fit sorted out. I realized I was sitting on the nose of the saddle for a number of reasons (saddle too high, too far back, not enough central pressure relief). I switched to a Selle Italia Boost SLR and got my saddle position right, now I can easily do 60+ miles with no issues.
The thing that really changed and made everything feel right was getting the saddle into a position where I could feel my sit bones resting on the wide, flat rear portion of the saddle. Combining proper position with the pressure relief channel all but eliminated any discomfort and completely stopped the numbness.
