I have done 60+ mile rides, but never 100 miles. I am looking for a cargo bag as the one I have doesn't fit with both bottle cages and to alleviate weight from my backpack. I know the backpack isn't ideal, but I have a water bladder and want to stay hydrated. The mysterious sacks of powder is tailwind endurance. Not pictured are my oat-peanut butter balls, my honey peanut butter jelly sandwiches, or my goldfish. Also not pictured are a few protection items. I have used the Silca tire pressure calculator and am at about 45 psi all around. I have been eating carbs, and following a basic ride plan leading up to the ride. It will be a solo ride. I got the indoor training shoes for free and they fit well, no foot pain on longer rides so I am happy with them for this purpose.
Is there anything you guys think I'm messing up on or would change?
Thanks guys! I am excited.

I did 100 miles eating shitty gas station food and refilling my water bottle from churches in 90+ degree weather with a friend for shits and giggles you will be fine don’t overthink it. Just have fun it’s what cycling is all about.
Same. You’ll be fine if you put as much thought into your route.
I personally don’t like riding w a backpack, as the extra weight on my saddle is not good for me. You may notice this on a longer ride.
Good luck and just ride within your limits from the start, stay fuelled and hydrated and you’ll be fine.
Looks like you’re taking quite a lot of kit, but I guess it depends how remote you’re going. Do you need the dedicated chain tool as there is already one on the Crank Bros tool? Do you need a power bank if everything is charged when you set off?
You’re probably over packed, but it’s better to feel comfortable for your first big ride than worry the whole way.
In the future I would suggest looking into jerseys with pockets, and/or handlebar and bar bags.
Need 3 more bags of coke. One bag per ten miles.
That pump is masterful. Looks like it could inflate a bouncy castle.
All that and only one spare tube?
Also, I really, really think you should reconsider the backpack.
Seems overkill to me, unless it is a very remote area. Even still I wouldn’t want to lug so much weight over that distance.
Try to hydrate the night before. A good dose of electrolytes. Do you have electrolyte tablets or is that a premix in baggies? Depending on where you are riding, filling the hydro flask with ice keeps fresh cool water for you deeper into your ride. If you have tried and they agree with your GI, perhaps a few gels. Sometimes over that distance your desire to chew food might wane. Another option would be apple sauce or something similar. Go have a blast!
I think you only need *one* baggie of cocaine for this trip.
Ditch the backpack.. you will thank me later
I think you might be overpacking. Maybe if it’s your first century bring what you think will help you. But I think you will try and pack lighter your second going around. It happened to me.
Don’t forget the gummy nerds.
