Started with a stock BLB La Piovra a while ago and slowly upgraded it piece by piece. It definitely cost more than I planned, mostly because I began from the stock version and kept improving things over time, but this is where the bike has finally settled and I’m really happy with how it rides now.
- H Plus Son TB14 rims
- Suzue Track hubs
- Sapim Leader spokes
- Continental GP5000 front / Gatorskin rear
- Miche Pistard 2.0 48T crankset
- BLB bottom bracket (the one used on BLB Notorious crankset)
- BLB pedals
- YNOT straps
- Izumi chain
- Miche 17T cog + BLB lockring
- Dia-Compe BRS101 front brake (with Shimano pads)
- Brooks C17 saddle
- Stock BLB La Piovra drop bar
Open to any comments, feedback or suggestions for future tweaks.

Does your crankset not have play or high resistance? Because of the cranks’ construction you need to use the matching miche bb otherwise you probably won’ t get the right preload
But if you don’t run into issues then that is great
