  1. Ha, I forgot about that special bit of Grant’s stupid little ideas. But thank you for posting, I found a felted wool sweater on the road yesterday that didn’t fit.
I’ll pull it out of the trash now

  2. “So far I (Grant) am the only one here who loves and uses these, but I don’t understand it. Maybe wool grips are too crunchy-granola for millenials, or maybe I like them so much that they’d feel like suck-ups liking them, too. I don’t know and it doesn’t matter, but here’s why I’m such a fan:”

Guy is so high on his own supply – maybe they just suck? No it’s the children who are wrong. Yeah man, I want to hop on my bike with saturated grips from sitting in the rain, sign me up. Oh they are held on with broccoli rubber bands? Even better.

Hahaha bro these are wacky as. I thought only Grant used these things. I can’t imagine a time this is favorable over rubber or leather. Like what about when the hemp twine snaps?

  4. I think they look fkn sweet – I live in Ireland so they would get manky quickly – maybe this only works in like California or Arizona.

  5. I bought a demo model from Riv. and it came with some of these on the front section of the Toscos. I think a lot of the love has to come from the natural/biodegradable factor. How far that takes you towards believing these are great grips depends on your priorities I guess.

It also proves pretty much anything can be a grip if 90% of your weight is on your butt and you primarily cruise around and in case you do find yourself aggressively braking on a downhill have your bars at that Riv. suggested -6 decree slope so your hands aren’t inclined to shoot forward when you apply the brakes.

I personally believe that the best grips possible for my riding style would be the grips on a Revere Ware pot and you can hang a cool lanyard from the metal hanging wire.

    They certainly look neat.
Seems more of a posing type decision, but if that’s what you are going for- you nailed it!

  7. Oh cool! They look really nice and I guess I would like the feel when it’s dry, but in rainy weather when they are soaked? I bet not so much.

  8. Boy, rough crowd!

I think they’re cool and intriguing as someone who loves wool and understands its resilience to funk.  Hopefully you do an update on how they hold up.
