Hello guys,

My bike is rubbing and making this squeaking sound. I just lubed up the gears last night before taking this video.

When I pedal faster it squeaks faster and when I pedal more slow you can hear it rubbing more slowly. (I hope this provides helpful info)

Last piece of info from what I’ve noticed: it doesn’t happen right away upon riding, usually it takes a few minutes and then the next day it’ll again take a few minutes to start squeaking so at first you don’t hear it at the beginning of the ride.

Stop pedalling , still squeaking ?

    front wheel is an issue

No squeak until pedalling , pedals or crank are the issue .

  2. The sound seems to come once with every full crank rotation, so it has nothing to do with wheel rotation.

This is something you’re going to have to narrow down. Could be anything that’s impacted by a full crank rotation, including leaning your bike left/right during each pedal stroke and anything between your ass and the bottom bracket.

First, try standing up and pedaling. If the noise goes away, then it’s the saddle, seatpost clamp, seatpost, or the seatpost clamp.

  3. It’s your shoe.

When you pedal your shoe is rubbing the crank. Don’t believe me? Move your foot slightly further out on the pedal and keep cranking. Good day.
