  1. Hard to really tell but some of those passes look like they were being slowed down by the pitch, one which led to the pen incident. Plus, didn't Furlong trip/slip into that player rather than intentionally foul him?
Not making excuses but seems like a full replay would be a fair outcome?

  2. Man United, Burnley, Blackpool, Salford, Chorley and Morecambe all managed to keep their pitches playable for the full 90. Blackburn should be forced to reimburse all of the fans for that farce.
They were in the Pren not that long ago. How many transfer fees + player wages have they splashed out on instead of a 21st Century drainage system?

  3. So many people here haven't got a clue. You need to learn the lay of the land to understand why the Blackburn pitch flooded.

The pitch is in a flood plain, and the river Darwen runs behind the riverside stand.

If the water table is high due to the heavy rainfall, where can water go?

Wanting them to be deducted points because you're a Burnley fan is laughable. 😂

    Silly sausages

  4. No win situation for the ref in the end, keep playing and a player gets a bad injury because of the conditions and he gets grief for not stopping the game.

I suspect he was perhaps hoping Ipswich would level as it’s less controversial to abandon if all square.

  5. the ball only held up in that 1 spot and could have carried on for the next 10 mins. The ref spent 3 mins wasting time on some gadget on his bionic arm.
