You bought a Dawes Cougar for the parts?! These frames are like Hen’s teeth! 531 lugged frame with almost infinite tire clearance!!
531 + Deore was late 1980s mid-high end heaven
Wild, I’ve got almost the exact same frame, although mine has a unicrown fork in 531. Really nice bike, and as far as I can tell, this paintjob was less popular. At least I can’t find it anywhere as opposed to the blue paintjob from the same years.
