


I’ve removed hubs before, but one like this. There’s a place to grip on the one side, but on the other side (disk side), the hex is hidden behind some kind of ‘black ring’. A friend said that black cap should just flick off, but it’s not budging even with a rubber mallet. Has anyone had to tackle something similar? I don’t want to knock too hard on anything unless someone says that’s the only the way. This wheel is on a 2018 Scott Spark 930 carbon. Std Syncro wheels if it makes difference.

When you say remove hub, which specific part are you referring to, and what is your goal?
