heading for the hood camp speeds. The fastest time set in racing in history was of course um dark days of the sport really, wasn’t it? Beyond race back in 1996. Yeah. Pass this time up, Mr. 60% and one of the heavier riders in this group now will be able to the group behind will be able to eclipse that time. Gap coming down ever so slightly. He’s on the river. [Applause] You can only feel that, you know, the reception he’s getting at the moment is is really kind of spurring him on. when that happens, you know, the effort he’s he’s been putting in for the last what 10 15 kilometers, he’s going to pay for it and when we hit the climb, but it’s still a valiant effort. I don’t believe at one moment that he’s going to he’s going to hold them off because when they start going at it in the GC group, I’m afraid that um you know, they’ll we advantage that he’s got. Yeah. What about 20 odd riders uh chasing behind maybe a little bit more the hilly group further behind so maybe a decent result still in prospect for Bruno Armor even if it’s not going to be the stage victory that he so desires [Applause] hit the high with a third and It’s that transition from riding the big gear on the flat road to suddenly into the climb and onto the small ring almost instantly. It’s uh it can be tough to to adapt even if you’re on a good day. We know that he’s good at measuring his effort. That’s why he’s a very good time trialist. But it’s the effort he’s already put in today to get himself in the breakaway. Of course, he kind of sat in that grip, didn’t do too much, but the effort he’s he’s made over the last kind of 20 odd kilometers, he’s going to pay for that. And um but at the same time, I’m pretty sure that the team are giving them plenty of encouragement as most French teams do, really kind of pushing them on. But 143 142 it’s not going to be enough in 13 km because we are going to see a big showdown on this climb with the GC guys. Yeah, almost instantly there’s there’s a gain here and Tim Wellen starting to his cheeks starting to swell and puff a little bit. This is I think a limited amount of time he’s going to have available. plenty of fans to redistribute a beat onto Yates just behind Adam Yates. That is his teammates. It’s it’s almost like they’re, you know, jersey and waiting. I mean, the yellow jerseys out the road, but all day they’ve been acting like they are the yellow jersey team defending this league. The world champion. Yeah, another jail taken by Pagatcha. So, I I’ve noticed that a lot. He’s a lot of uh intake and fuel. The last time I saw that was when he was beaten, was it last year um in the tour stage in a sprint with the Bingigar cuz he was starting to um to bonk a little bit, find a hunger knob. But I don’t think that is the case here. I think it’s a case of yeah, remember what happened last year. Um in this situation, you have to remember that everybody’s in the same boat. Everybody’s really struggling. Sam Yates is struggling a little bit. Stage 10 winner no longer available for the Visa Misa bike squad I’m presuming unless he’s going back to collect a bottle but I think that’s a little unlikely at this point they’re going backwards. Gon Mart riders from the the early move the likes of Rubio Scamosa Woods they’ll pull the plug on this one and reset and go again in subsequent days. Might we have expected signs to last a little bit longer? Oh, this is um you know to to coming out you know that’s a bit of a surprise as well. Parantra dropped there. So whittling down quite quite quickly and set for me is a surprise but still fighting in there. Felix G just loitering at the back of this group potentially coming out as well as Tim Wellland still has the strength and that’s not a big surprise is it? Remco going backwards almost at the very beginning indeed of the odicam after such a long chase. Left a fair bit out of the road and that’s it. Things get more and more challenging. The earlier you face difficulties. I think he’s doing what happened in I think he’s he’s going to set his own tempo. He can’t go with this inferno that we’ve got at the bottom. Can already see Tim Wellens is gone. Philips G Vlin is gone as well. At this rate, Oscar only could be in the podium at the end of the day. Well, that would be a remarkable thing. Uh I’ll tell you what, at this rate, they’ll have got Bruno Armor within about 2 km. It’s going to be a little bit more than that, I think, but not much more because as Nar hits the front in front of Yates and Bugattacha, pressure on in a huge way here from the UA squad, they’ve spotted an opportunity to try and make Yonas Vigo a little bit vulnerable. And he certainly is vulnerable now. Yeah, Adam Yates, this is setting up this is not this is not a tempo claim. This is setting up Patcha to go for it now. Well, we’re down to just three and Vo out of the saddle. Absolutely flat chat to try and stay in the wheel of Taga because as you say, this is ramping up for a big attack and an early attack from T Paga looking from Bingigo. Bingigo is cracking here. He’s losing a couple of bike lengths. Taga wants to go. wants to go early. Is this hubris? Well, it’s certainly ambitious. And the world champion puts seconds into Yonas Vigo, whose shoulders slump. He’ll settle in, but he’s going to have to give up several seconds of an advantage to Tann Pagatcha right at the beginning of the climb. Yeah, amazing. Absolutely amazing. I knew he’d be up for this Pagatcha, but you know, that was a huge effort. That’s why they went so hard at the bottom of the climb. But that glance back from Bingard told it story. And then we saw another glance back because I’m thinking he’s looking back to see is there any help coming? Look, they’re settled down. They’re going to ride their own pace. It’s now as we see seen last year at the front. Bingart chasing and the others are just in the distance about 30 40 m between them at the moment. They’re going to settle into a pursuit race on this climb at the moment. He’s was almost up with Bruno and a long time raider only group. He’s just switching on the big ring there. Or was he going under the small ring? He certainly was working at the at the front derailers. A big ring attack. I think that one and maybe now he’s just going to settle into the smaller gear. Rev away and try and maintain an advantage of 53 m. Fing is coming back ever slightly now. 10 seconds now. And uh taking his radio out his ear. He doesn’t want any interference at all, but he’s settled into a rhythm. But uh Vingigard well throughout the story, France, he’s gone with every punch that Pagach has given. Now we’re in the big mountains. Vingard, he he settled down to his own rhythm. Last year I said once they came back to um to Vingard Paga, but he took his radio out. probably didn’t want any interference and looks as if he’s trying to get it back. Yeah. How much does he need? He’s about to take the lead of the of the stage as armored eye is about to be overhauled, but you know, Vingo hasn’t hasn’t given up on this just yet. Let’s have a look at this again. Nav setting himself up and setting his teammate up absolutely beautifully. Vingo almost instantly having to say I can’t go at that kind of rate for another 11 12 km. Amir pasted not even a thought. Big still at 10 seconds. 9 seconds. Does he need to attack him? No. But that’s what I’m saying. He wants to put this big show on. He This is a big stage, the first big mountain stage of the tour. He wants to crush. That’s why it’s not a surprise what he’s trying to do there. We’ve We’ve talked about it. That’s why he was very critical earlier on of the other teams. They’re actually helping UE Emirates. Pagatcha was out to crush everybody today. That was the plan right from the start. Irrelevant of the crash yesterday. Should Vingo have just said, you know, you can have your 10, 15 seconds, whatever it is. Wait till Pagata sat down and back down in the saddle and then settled into the chase. Yeah. Well, there’s very few people. Bingard has done it right from the start. He’s gone with every punch. But it’s now in a climb like this, you have to settle down into your uh your rhythm. And it’s it’s come down to which we said all along, it’s not come down to numbers or who’s got a stronger team or anything like that. It’s come down to man against man. The thing about me and is that I’d like to know what’s happening behind me. Sort of flash up there of Lipovich and on things like that. They’re not that far away, but who is the next person on the road? But for the moment anyway, it does look as if Pagatcha who’s got the the measure of Bingard, but the gap isn’t opening up hugely. This is measured performance by the best riders in the world. Oneonone trouble. You can get him back. Come on. Well, can he? We’re going to find out. It’s uh still ekking out to the advantage of the world champion at the moment. He’s gaining half a second here. A second there every couple of hundred meters. Little bit of a gain there. Just uh sort of went from 11 to 15 relatively quickly. Primus Rogich has been almost synonymous in this in this particular event and it looks as if this is challenging moment for the veteran Slovenian Tobaya Hannison riding well here with Oscar only. Lipovitz is at the front. Robic we knew he would come back anyway. Um these guys are moving up in the general classification. This is what I was saying earlier on today with the Uno X, right? They didn’t have to ride. You know, the breakaway was caught even before the final climb and and these guys will take out minutes on the rest of them in the climb. So, even if they got four minutes, it was still going to be a scenario here and and potentially Tobias Johannes moving up well into the top 10. I think I may have done previous a little bit of a disservice there because you know looks pretty good in the um in the in the group in pursuit of the of the uh stage leader. Rockish was always riding like that. He he wasn’t caring too much about you know losing a bit of time here and there. Uh he didn’t want to get involved with the race and he I said it earlier on playing that kind of waiting game and he’s got Lipovitz for help as well. So I always thought that Rockish was going to come good at some point during the tour. Maybe not as good as Pagatcha and Bingigo. Uh but he has come good but Ralph Dald did suggest podium might be a reasonable objective. The win might be a little bit too much. Yeah, I think podium is the third spot now. And I I think now we’re starting to to see who that third spot might go to. Um, you know, we’ve got Lipovich, we’ve got Oscar on who’s riding super well today. And as I said from the bottom of the climb, he could be riding into that third place by the end of the stage. Although at the moment going in the wrong direction riding solo once more in that in that white jersey. He’s wearing it on behalf of Ben Healey. He’s certainly the way things are going going to uh take several minutes out of Ben Healey. The problem for him is that Oscar Hry has gone up the road and is absolutely flying. Difficult day for Kevin Fogaran also dropping out of contention relatively early on this climb but uh well Itala up to 27 seconds continuing to increase his advantage it’s still it’s still early days on this climb. Yeah, I think Christian Gian Neman sent that message. You know, you can get back to him. You can get back to him. I don’t think anybody’s getting back to uh to Pagacha today. Um you know, he wants to win this stage. It was It was almost written out. That was always going to be the plan. The big first mountain. You got to remember this is where he was well beaten three years ago. Do you think he remembers that? Of course he does. It hurts. Yeah, of course it does. He you know what he thinks about he he crashed yesterday. Everybody will be thinking, “Oh, he’s he he’ll have some sort of weakness.” Everybody’s looking for that weakness. There’s no weakness there. That he wants to put the memories of three years behind him and go out and absolutely crush everybody to the 100 wins in his career. And Tager, when you win as frequently as he does, it’s probably the defeats that he thinks about most often than the wins. That’s the the odd irony, isn’t it? Thath these riders will take those defeats and let them fester and use them as motivation for what is clearly a revenge attack here. Kevin Boar has a little bit of a a problem to solve. Disappearing down the road a little bit at the moment. Far away from the only group. They’re just there in front of him. He’s trying to use the cars to his advantage here. So, he isn’t far away from Rogich only. Johannes and the Lipovitz. Oh yeah. Coming back Kevin Vine. Good response and a sense perhaps that the there’s a little bit of the lack of cohesion in that on league group. Are they racing for third? Well, I think you have to think like that. I think I said it in commentary before that the way that um Garant Thomas wrote when he finished third in the tour to France was a a really measured effort. He knew he couldn’t compete with Pagata and Vingigo. And I think these guys have to realize that as well. They have to think about this podium spot and um I think they may be thinking about it already. Vocal back in and very much back into the hunt for the the white jersey. Something to think about at the top of the climb. Uh yellow jersey is going to be swapped for world champion stripes at the top of the mountain. Our colleague killing Kelly for this fascinating stat. But the last world road race champion to win a summit finish of the tours was none other than Bernard Eno at La Plane. 1981 [Music] [Applause] 22 km an hour. Try that at home on your Zift. You just put it in the big ring there. 42 seconds of counting and one and a half minutes up to this group as Vocalan arrives back in. It’s a little bit of extra sustenance. Of course they will get they can take on gels a little bit further up the mountain on a hot day like this than would ordinarily be the case. Interesting moment really for young fingers. Looked good in fairness apart from being coming detached at awkward moments earlier on in the the first week. put it up to them and being not minded to try and attack Dan Pagatcha at all in the uh in the days approaching this first big uh big mountain summit finishing himself rounding. He’s not the attacker, he’s the attackee. Fully 44 seconds behind potentially come under the uh the scrutiny of the of the Vocaline group behind. [Music] Well, just to let you know, there’s um 58 seconds between Velin and Oscar only. So, Velin is 58 seconds in front. So, if Velin is moving up, so you will have Pagata leading from Vingard and then Velin. So, Vonley is moving up to virtually fourth place in the general classification if he wants that best young riders jersey. And she’s coming back. Amazing, isn’t it? his days. Well, clearly this and you you said it at the bottom of the hill and it’s something we saw on Sol. He knows what he can do and he’s he’s just incredibly disciplined here. Yeah, very disciplined doing this on his own and you know right from the bottom setting his own tempo. He’s not having the best of days and when you don’t have the best of days you have to measure your effort. cannot get carried away with trying to get involved with the the duel that’s happening in the front between Pagacher and Vigard. You you have to think of what you can do. They’ve got a time trial tomorrow as well. It’s this day tomorrow and the next day after that are huge days for the GC. Yeah, L will be deciding and Talipaga has the overwhelming support of the crowd. No time for smiles go to camp. Beautiful part of the world. But you can see the wind so beautiful and not such a great memory necessarily for Van Hy here. Yeah, you can see that the way that Pagata was banging down gels. He’s totally focused on what he had to do. He called upon his team to do the efforts. They put Ben Tim Wellins in the in the breakaway. The way they were riding, it was just a case of setting setting up this this stage win for them. Vocal is a little bit of difficulty again by the looks of things. stepping out. Has there been a little bit of an injection of pace? And if so, well, it’s looks like leap often Johansson, Oscar only on the right hand side for the team picnic post squad and the ride of his life on the Scottish salar the flag of St. Andrew on the right hand side. Just a little bit of encouragement for Oscar only. There is a lot there’s a he’s he’s getting quite a bit of press back in Scotland as well television. I’ve been on radio Scotland as well. So, he’s getting a lot of press which is great. big moment in his career, but he needs to put a lot of time into Vocab and indeed this man as Ranco the ball yo-yoing off the back of the uh third group chases and showing at what about 15 18 seconds more like 20 odd seconds for Remco Aven. Can he get back on? Roland part is with him. Remco went down uh to really refresh himself. He took a nice bag and now he’s uh he’s heading back to the Rogish Lipovitz Vlan Yansen and Honda group. Yeah, he’s really pacing himself. He knows himself perfectly and he’s on his way back. And I think maybe he’s now starting to also negative speeding it. And uh I think he can finish and limit the losses today at least for a for a fight for the podium. Yeah, it’s a mature uh time trial effort from world time trial champion. Yeah, it’s it’s it’s a good effort knowing your own body and doing what he’s doing. Um and he’s done it on both climbs now. Um, of course he would love to be up there fighting it with, you know, the the top duo or be with this group, but for some reason he just he just doesn’t have that that explosiveness whether it’s, you know, he’s lost a little bit of weight and he’s thinking of high mountains. We talked about that earlier, Declan. And when you really kind of go at it, he just doesn’t have that answer. But what he has got is staying power. And you know, that’s that’s shone through today. What we’re going to see is the vultures are are just sitting there waiting for everybody. It’s behind Pagatcha is and they’re asking how much time is everybody losing today to Pagato. Yeah, they’ll be picking over the bones of this one for a while. And now almost a minute clear of Yiannis Avingo having started the day with a deficit of 1 minute and 17 seconds. The Danish rider is going to find that he’s uh well the way things I mean you know there’s no sign of this of of any diminishment in strength here from Tesak. What did he lose? Uh it was over a minute was a minute 15 three years ago. He lost 104 I think it was on the climb. Yeah, that’ll be in the back of his mind. He wants to put more than 104 into thingy guard today. Yeah, 104. Yeah, heard his fan art on the day for Garan Thomas. Slightly different days [Music] happy enough to ride solo and has his sight set on Kevin Vulcan. Meek meanwhile further ahead Oscar Arnley the podium beckoning for him if not today and oh really peddling squares isn’t he Vulcan’s cracked here a little bit as looks like he’s really struggling they’re all struggling it’s been a hot day it’s a long long tough three weeks of racing I’m told they have another week and a bit to [Applause] Meanwhile, Ragglitch Leipovitz only and Tomas Holland latest salvo fired by Leapovitz about whom we haven’t chatted much and instant response from Oscar only on Roglitch grinds his way back on. Howland’s happy enough to let Rogich do that. Happy is anyone happy in this one? I think the only happy people are the the crowd at the side of the road. witnessing something that is going to get down in history. Um we’ve already kind of made history in this climate hot car and you know it’s been a huge performance by the the world champion today. Did we doubt it? No, we didn’t. You know, he’s he’s just riding the the way he he does everybody off the wheel. And um as you said, also in the back of his mind will be who is the last world champion to win a mountaintop finish. not been many in the history of our sport. So, it’s it was always going to be a big day today. Um, and another big one coming tomorrow with the the time travel and another big one coming after that. A remarkable cadence, isn’t it? So, as he hits the uh 10% sections here, he’s really spinning a gear. And anyone, I suppose, who’s ridden up these hills as a cycllo tourist knows the experience is a is a long slow grind at a very, very low uh RPM, very low cadence. It’s a completely different experience for the world champion here as continues to rebel away. Speeds approaching 20 km an hour and up to what minutes and 7 seconds. He’s gone north of that 104 might have been the benchmark. Bit of an eye on the on the record time as well. Way back to 1996 for that. Remco has detached himself from Kevin Vulgan who continues to look like a man who is almost at the end of his tether as Liitz continues to fire shots against Onley. Yeah, I’m surprised about this that Liquitz is allowed to do this and I think he would he would want to try and kind of stay but we heard from Aldag it’s at the end of the day it’s who’s got the legs and it looks as if Liquitz has got some good legs today. Orley looks behind. Um I thought he would stay with Rogich only just has to watch here. Um I know that they just they’re sitting about what the leader Pogach is 5 k they’re sitting six six km a to go or just has to measure his performance here because like I said from the bottom potentially he could be on the podium at the end of the day. Yeah Valan looks looks vulnerable at the moment and there’s still a long long way to go for the leader. It’s still almost 5 km. A little bit more for these riders. They’re 2 minutes down the road. You know, to to be the only team to miss out in a 52man breakaway picnic post NL to have at the end of the day Oscar only the Scott and in in a podium position is just it’s just stuff of dreams. Um people were struggling a little bit in the points classification of the of the world tour, weren’t they? They were looking vulnerable. Uh uh but you know they’re scooping points in the in the very race that will give you the maximum points or the biggest amount of points available. So it’s it’s so 5ks to go for bringing guard 116. Maybe we could get in touch with Roman to go up and maybe help his teammate Oscar only because he must be pretty proud as well. Yes. Yeah. just literally stepping away from bike racing activities the team perfectly posted on L squad in the last few weeks and uh Roman Bart was certainly and surely be absolutely delighted in over the last couple of years he’s switched roles indeed from being not just a leader but also inspiring the next group looks like he’s again he’s not completely cracked here oh Well, uh they don’t always take a bottle from neutral service, but I suspect this one might go over his shoulders. Yeah. Anyway, rest bite any just cooling effects. They’re going to take it. I think he took one only a matter of a few minutes ago. So, it’s it’s more for cooling process than anything else. Only a leap of locked in combat. So they’re getting closer to Bengi Onley and Lipovitz. Look at the time gap 216 inside a minute. So less than a minute less than a minute here for these riders. Third and fourth on the road in pursuit of scenario where they’ll move up. Starting the day seventh and eighth on general classification. Leapits and and sure to move up the way things are going. Just saw a nice Irish lad there with a yellow jersey and a Irish flag there. It was nice touch. Yeah, big day. And they’ll be waiting a little while for Ben Healey, but you can be sure that they will wait and they will give him cheer. He’ll be getting plenty of support out there to try and limit his losses today. Respect the jersey. It’s been a great few days for Van Hill. Less good, you have to say, for Jonas Vingo, despite the fact that he’s several minutes ahead of right now, he has as a two-time tour of France winner, nothing less than victory will do for him. And it’s several hairpins above him at this point. He’s the uh his nemesis, his rival. What a rivalry this has been uh in in world cycling. One-on-one in the the biggest stage race of them all for several years now. It’s been a a great ding-dong battle establishing something of an advantage in 2025. Only struggling here a little bit as Leovitz establishes a little bit of an advantage. the Danish flags uh well they’re flying but the crowd a little bit subdued I think at the moment. Yeah, they gave Bingard plenty of encouragement there. But you have to say, you know, this man here, he what was he world tour last year actually joined the world tour in 2023. He was with the um a trainee with them as well. Came from the Ty roll KTM cycling team and um he’s now in his kind of third year at this level. But what he did in the criterium dopony and what he’s doing now is I 24 year old German. He’s um he’s come out fighting in this race. Few Irish flags there in amongst the Norwegian flags. Uh a few Slovenian flags here about no doubt as well. Crowd swell as we get closer to the top. Still 3 km remaining and no sign of any wilting or diminishment of his uh of his strength. Can you look at that for a little bit of a thrill? A thrilling moment and how he manages to maintain the focus. Well, he needs to, but Vingigo starting to wilt a little bit and as you said, he’s inside of Leap of Leovitz starting to close. Is there enough time? We don’t often see it. Pagatcha looks like Pagatcha. Vingard, I think he’s he is feeling the big effort now. He he realized straight away he couldn’t go with Pagatcha. you know, the last time he came up here, he had great memories. Um, they’ve been crushed today. Um, just like everybody else by Pagacher and it’s a case of just damage limitation. Of course, he wants to try and stay in front of Liveritz and of course Oscar only, but it was all going to come down to man against man and didn’t matter about, you know, who the strongest team or whatever, but you know, this is a big statement and we’ll hear from him afterwards. Louis and Almeida crashing yesterday. Um a we bit the kind of disrespect and things like not not stopping when he had a natural break. He’s been inspired today and his team have ridden well. Okay, they got a lot of help throughout majority of the stage. But um Pagatcha is doing Pagatcha things. Yasfinger will conclude the day second. If they were to stop the climb just here and uh frustratingly for him, despite moving up a position on general classification, he would have even further daylight between himself and uh and teller. Interesting as well to see that Oscar is moving ever closer potentially to the the top three. The Remool behind him at the moment. The only the only climbing the ointment there of course is that uh Leapovitz potentially could leap ahead of of Oscar only. Yeah, that’s always um going to be scenario swapping and changing around but there still um losing a little bit of time here. Finger looks as if he is the person struggling the mo. Okay, we’ve not seen everybody but he is really struggling now. He seems to be losing more time to pagata as this cling um concludes. He spoke ahead of this year’s tour about how he had changed his training a little bit. He’s coming in tiny bit heavier, but he says it’s all muscle. So, he’s a slightly different approach to seeing what he could do about uh about countering the strength of of Well, that’s something he’s going to have to look at again because it doesn’t seem to be working for him. Uh maybe he was doing that and maybe is that is helping him towards the explosive explosive efforts of Pagatcha but I think maybe not completely back to the drawing board but he he really has been put under the caut now because even Leap oft looks as if he is kind of closing in and fingig some distance down almost a minute down on Florian Leapitz. Um, where is Oscar Romney in relation to Leap Fitz? Oops. And uh, real great in the poll. Never short of a a comment, I suppose. Uh, you don’t want to see the fans flags getting anywhere close to the riders. It’s remarkable. It doesn’t happen more often. And you can understand the level of irritation that he’s showing. He’s always a quite a vocal rider, isn’t he? Very confident in the way that he expresses himself, but I suppose also too probably best advised to try and stay focused on the road ahead. Yeah. Yeah, Lipovich is 10 seconds behind only. So, he is moving into that podium position at the moment. It’s not of course over yet. It’s still a long long way to go, but yeah, just pointing out you’ve got a bit of cardboard collected fans uh fans board. Yeah. Oops. [Applause] [Music] Lot of cameramen are multi-killed. Back to the main business of supporting our images here and uh it’s only 8% so back up over 20k an hour. Here we go. We get huge support through here but think it’s going to be 2 minutes by the top of the hole. I was just about to say you think it’s going to be two minutes. I don’t think many people in in my eyes I thought and I’ve said it all along Pagachu was going to rock this stage. That’s how he felt after the crash yesterday. But it was always going to be this was a target stage. This is a stage where he just wanted to go I’m going to crush you. Right. But I did not think it would be 2 minutes. [Applause] And just about the most exciting thing that’s happened to him all hill is uh yeah, he’s pointing out the cardboard attached to the motorbike. It’s been metronomic. It’s been relentless. It’s a word that’s appeared a lot. As we uh come towards the barriers that will make it a smoother progress through the final couple of kilometers, the the crowd swells in size to its maximum uh support for the riders on this hill and great uh great respect indeed from all the crowd for our riders on this on this mountain. Great to see [Applause] [Music] it goes eerily silent. Dorian Lipovitz in pursuit of Aianis Vingo. Just what about 30 odd seconds. 35 seconds 36 seconds between Florian Lipovitz and Yiannis Vingo. Can he close that one down in the final couple of kilometers? And where is Oscar only? Has he managed to stay on terms with Florian Leapit? All to be decided. All to be revealed as we take the stage lead of the reigning champion under the kites and into the final thousand meters. [Applause] Ger aiming for a third tour to France stage victory as world champion. Only seven riders have done this before. Most recently, Peter Sigan back in 2018. Oh, Jonas Finger Girl looks altogether a different rider and certainly difficult moment for him. Yeah, it’s been a tough climb after three three years where he has to come in. It’s always the case when you come to a mountain where you’ve done well, but look at that face there, right? He wants to crush the opposition. That’s a a face of determinate determined fashion of not just winning the stage, but it’s a statement today by Pagato. Well, I mean, you know, it’s a long way to go to Paris and we’ve seen that many a slip. Twix’s cup and lip was demonstrated to us by yesterday’s little tumble. Things can change in a heartbeat, but suffice it to say, Tip Pagata striking a potentially death blow to the hopes of Yonas Vingo’s overall success in Paris on Sunday week because right now this is an imperious of dominance and a huge gulf developing between the top two riders on general classification. Inside 500 meters to go and approaching 2 minutes with the advantage for Tad Pagatcha. He’ll have 10 bonus seconds as well. So that’ll be four more than Yonas Finger at the conclusion of the day. And he’s going to ride this one all the way to the line. As you say, he will not be composing his victory speech just yet. But to do it right from the bottom, right? When was the last time we saw that? Going right from the bottom of the climb and just going bang. That was what, 11 km? We never see that. It is always something you know uh five maybe three kilometers to go that’s when they they try to uh try to really turn the screw and see if they can open up a little bit of a gulf. But this is a dominant performance. This is a performance of confidence and ambition and control and Imperia’s athletic ability as Tager brings it home to take victory on the oicam and drive the nail into the coffin of all his rivals ambitions in tour of to France 2025. the oldest finger go inside the final kilometer but he is vanquished and we’ve got a fororn figure through the final moments all the way to the line to take it. Glory in rainbow stripes as Danny Pagatcha takes victory on stave 12 and over 41 km an hour the average speed of the stage. Oodicam claimed in famous style by T Pagacher and now we wait for Yonas Finger and the clock will continue to countdown and add the seconds to his advantage. Yeah, it was an allout effort towards the line. No celebration until after the line. He wanted as much time as possible and it looks as if he’s got at least two minutes. Well, he’ll reset reset and go again. There’s the time trial to come. We’ve seen in the past that he can have an advantage. Well, not of late [Music] has a moment to reflect, moment to gather his thoughts, begins his recovery a little bit earlier. What this is going to mean for Jonas Vingo, exactly how he’s going to reset. Do they start to attack or do they uh Well, they’ll make plans, but does he think now about trying to defend second place or will he still have ambitions to go for the overall glory? Will at this point even Jonas Vinger be thinking, I’m not sure I can beat this man. Clock continues to tick. It was about 2 minutes, wasn’t it? Under the kite for Yonas Fvingo. [Music] A moment of silence, a moment of relief, a moment of reflection on a job well done. Go has ridden his own hill as best he can. He’s best of the rest and by some considerable margin. They are the two best riders in Grand Tour racing. But this time round, Yonas Vingo has to give best to Talipaga. He slumps his head and his shoulders and Lipovitz almost got on terms. So it won’t be long before we’re seeing the third rider in 24 year old German and the Red Bull Bora Hans squad next to cross the line. 223 down. Sure. Did you pick up on Bingo? Well over 2 minutes has been leaked. It’s too much flesh. And the battle for fourth as Holland has managed to reattach himself to Oscar Onley and he’s got a powerful finish here. So good. Hollinger Hansson’s measured his effort nicely and only will stay in the same time just over 3 minutes. So good um 40 seconds or so lost by Oscar in the final kilometers. Ranco Evanul 2 has managed to link up with Kevin Vocal to complete the day. Well over 3 minutes down on the stage winner. will try and put a bit of daylight between himself and Remco Corapon in the final meters. Everything counts in the battle for the white jersey. And what a battle we’ve got this with Vulan on Lipovich, Ednipole. You know, we we we’ve got a real battle for this third place now. And um you know it was really on

Thank you for the blow by blow detail of the epic stage. Tadej did get his solid revenge. Kudos to Jonas for holding on as much as he could.

PoGOATcar doing Pogacar things. Allez Tadej!
first is first second is last 🙁
The 💉💉💉rider pogacar
We’ve all seen riders that dominant before. Unfortunately we all know why there were so dominant as well.
That being said: if Pogi does it, I am sure the other top riders do it, too (just like in the old days). So there’s a leveled playing field… and still: I hope from the bottom of my heart, that this time there will be no rude awakening for all cycling fans.
Proud of Tadej and UAE team ❤️👍
realised how lost vingegaard was (no teammates with him) and adapting to someones else game that he perfected is just not possible
Pogacar got a bit fed up with the media after this stage. And the rest of the tour was a drain on him with the press.
There should only be one press/ media source after the stage & the footage etc shared. Not the same question asked by 10 different.
Its a sl oowe-nian
😅
Great❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This stage will be forever remembered as "The Hautacam Massacre"
It all that carbon dioxide he takes
Vinegar no match to Pogacar
Colossal stage win!!! Reminds me of Pogi stage 19 the Tour de France 2024 at the last 9km. Abolutely relentless, this guy is like a machine.
33:12 Tadej is signing. To me, i think uae sacrificed the "aerodynamics" of Tadej position on his bike. Where everyone seems to take too seriously..they put him on a bike where he can really put his power on the bike and take less toll doing an abnormal position while riding. Jonas in summary still is unhealthy..you see it from his skin really..they got him light but may have sacrificed his power.
Nice Ai slop thumbnail, super high quality content
Masterclass of the GOATadej.
days before the battle 🚴♂ Andorra cycling masters (oct 2025) pogacar vs vingegaard, roglic & del toro 🔥 who you got this time?
