  1. Ty! Just a friendly heads-up from personal experience — I used to do Bulgarian lunges with a high bench and a long stride, and didn’t realize I was overstretching my inner thigh/groin area. After one tough session, I could barely lift my leg while driving home, and it turns out I strained my adductor longus.

Since then, I’ve learned that using a lower step for the back leg and shortening the stance just a little helps keep things safer and more controlled, especially if you’re not super flexible or have a history of hip/groin issues.

Not trying to scare anyone — just wanted to share in case it helps someone else avoid what I went through. Still love this exercise, just doing it smarter now! 🙂
