Tore my soleous muscle at the Achilles and will be off the bike for a few weeks. Thinking about adding some zipp 303 xplr sw’s or ENVE ses 3.4’s while I’m down. Any suggestions? Probably 60/40 gravel/pavement

ohhhh go for the zipps!! had a friend get them last year and they crushed everything from forest service roads to our campus commute. hope your soleous heals fast tho.
If you’re looking at the zipp, you’d want to look at enve 4.5’s instead of 3.4’s
What size tire are you going to run? It less than 45 I would not get the zipp’s
To be honest, ENVE SES 3.4 wheelset costs more, than your bike, so it does not make any sense. I would look at ZIPP 303 XPLR S instead, cheaper but with the same quality as SW, S is just a bit heavier.
IMO the 3.4 isn’t even 100g lighter than the 4.5. I’d get 4.5.
Has Zipp fixed the issue with loose free hub body retention? The early ones would drop the cassette and lose your pawls easily. Sucks if you have to put a tube in AND look for your pawls in the gravel. 😂. Cool wheels though.
I think 🤔 Enve are great wheels but they are terribly overpriced. Zipp-E-Doo-Da as they say 😊. Good luck 👍🏻 with your recovery ❤️🩹
