So, we’re sat up playing games, 1k out from the finish line, playing with only an 8second gap. I look at the pursuers list, Trenton. That name sounds familiar. He’s been in the background of many Monuments races. If he’s somehow in the same group as Matthew Vandelip, Tedipacha, and Filipe Ghana, he’s pretty decent. AG2R, I understand you wanted a sprint lead out. However, did you not realize you’re leading out four other riders behind you? So, we have given Trenton a nice lead out and he hits the front and he’s not giving that up to anybody.

so this made it his 3rd win at this race
It was almost as if they threw the race, if you can do that in cycling. Cos why on earth would you f*** around like that with only an 8 second lead? Bonkers knuckleheads.
they werent riding for a leadout, lapiera told his DS (Luke Rowe) that Gruel was faster than him and was all in in making Gruel work the final km to jump him. Gruel probably had the same idea and they both lost out
