  1. This is real game for a lot of uber eats drivers.. i just got back on uber x .. A lot of y'all are missing out on money.. Let's see at night on the weekends, when everybody's going out when the restaurants start to slow down and close, there's a lot of rideshare money to be made at those times..

  2. $30. then they reduce the original price of the ride by 50%. Oh, sure you make more money than normal for this 1 ride. Meanwhile, the next 20 rides, you are making less than a normal ride with some of the normal 'surges' they have. Surge system is a rigged pos deception.

  3. If you place your account on ride share account believe me you will regret it.. I did it and I got low ball offer for 3 months for Uber eats. Uber will expect you to do more rides then deliverys.. you'll get low ball delivery after 4 minutes I couldn't take it I called Uber and demanded that take ride share of my account the rep said you can turn it off in app I said it's been off for a month add rideshare is still hindering my account. After arguing with the rep for about 10 minutes he finally deactivated ride shares and immediately my phone exploded put deliveries.

  4. I did uber with my personal car and I will never do it again. They charge the customer crazy money but the driver get Pennie’s on the dollar I even rented a car to do uber and was barely making money to pay almost $500 a week to pay for the car. I stick to the food cause to pays more

  5. Never in my 6 years working for uber have I ever seen anything like this! Granted my area is small but, unfortunately I doubt we will ever see this here 😢

  6. What I do is have deliveries and pet rides on. That way I can get surges on delivery orders without ever really getting any pet rides at all

  7. I wouldn't do ride share unless they provided me with an armored vehicle.

Operative word—-》 provides me with the dog gone vehicle and it better have a bulletproof partition between me and the passenger(s). Preferably tinted. One way observable from my side is optional.

I've seen it all before. 🙄

    The reasons are many.

  8. In the Orange County, CA area we don't get surges like that. Most I have seen on a busy Saturday night with a concert getting out is +$10 but that's very rare. $30 surges aren't going to last. Uber will take that away.

  9. Yeah, I just had a $30 surgeon. Uber wouldn’t give it to me because it was a reservation trip. They never told me this. I did not know this. I’ve been doing this 7 1/2 years garrulous. The passenger shouldn’t have to pay the search pricing if a driver picks up the passenger that is reservationthen that price should be guaranteed. It was 30 bucks that I’m out of and it pisses me off.

  10. Chasing surges is foolish. Even if you happen to be in the area at the right time. The ride will likely be going a long distance and by time you drop the person off. The surge will be over and you ultimately only get one ride at that rate. So, $ 30.00 one time isn't really going make much of a difference in your life. You would need like 10 rides with these sort of payouts that would really are a difference.

  11. Update::: looks like they took this completely AWAY for ubereats drivers. After toggling back and forth, there is only “surge” pay on the map WHILE I have “people rides” turned on in my settings. It goes right back away after unchecking that box

  12. I have a 2014 Honda civic and they turned me down because of some scratches on the pain , they want pretty much everything perfect cosmetic pretty much a new car.
