Hey I'm completely new to cycling, I just want an old bike that can go fast because I'm used to shit concerning bikes, and I ride all days in the city, so I need something good. Is this okay for 240 euros ? I don't want to spend more than 300 euros. Also I would like it to be not too much to maintain (but I know I will have to) Thanks ! If you have any advices I will take them 🙂

  1. I suspect someone will come in here and say something along the lines of it’s an old bike and I wouldn’t pay more than 100 for it.

However, in most European markets you won’t actually find a bike like this for less than this.

I think this is a good bike to commute on, however I would change the pedals for some flats and you really need to make sure this bike fits you and that the position is comfortable for you. It’s a pretty aggressive bike so if you’re used to city bikes it will need some getting used to.

However for the price it’s going to be a nicer bike than most of your other options (i.e no down tube shifters which are pain to use, decent tyres already etc)

For maintenance, these bikes are really easy to maintain yourself, a bit of lube from time to time and if you need to fix things it’s all doable at home. External cabling and rim breaks are really easy to do.
