A negative for a lot of people would be 35mm tyre clearance.

I’ve got an Inflite and a Grail, go with the Grail or Grizl. The tire clearance and geometry make a huge difference. Long rides on a cross bike are not fun.

It’s got that top tube designed to throw the bike over your shoulder

I have the Inflite and it works well for me. I do not drive to places to ride, I will leave my house and hit the trails. Consequently it would around a 50% split between road and gravel. It works well for my riding style. Mostly a roadie but in the depths of winter like to mix it up a little.

What would you use it for?

Rear cassette is too small unless doing flat terrain, but this can be upgraded. What can’t be upgraded is the 35mm clearance which limits your terrain.

Too little tire clearance. You can do better for the discipline you ride.

No definitely not. Only buy a cyclocross bike if you are already racing cyclocross and plan to continue doing so.

As stated I am a roadie by nature, looking down on huge tires is off putting. I currently run Panaracer GravelKing SS 700x38mm. I reckon there is room for slightly bigger but 38mm are fine for me. My riding consists of farm fields, unpaved rail trails, some single track and road in between. I went for the infilte because the geometry was closer to my road bike. Since I am a roadie doing 40 or 50 miles of cross terrain is fine on the inflite 😊

I had a BH Cross bike that I used for everything for a few years. Might have been the best bike ever. Cross geometry is great for road and gravel.
