I’m trying to change out these drop handlebars to a flat bar but there doesn’t seem to be a compression bolt on the stem that i can loosen. It feels like the handle bar is stuck. Any way i can remove it? Thanks
It looks like there’s a cover right at the bend there. I’d bet if you remove it there will be two bolt heads, one down to the stem wedge in the steerer tube, and another one for another wedge at the bar.
Im not sure that the flat bar diameter is going to be the same as the drop bars. If my memory serves me correctly mtb bars were 25.4 mm were as drop bars were 26mm diameter. Probably worth checking your bar size before you get in too far.

The bolt is on the underside of the stem.
