you need to be aware of this before you buy your Louis Vuitton bag this is Louis Vuitton’s vetta leather new it is light in color and very vulnerable to stains and damage on its journey to a beautiful patina these are irreversible stains on this limited edition 2023 on the go and if you don’t like the look our recommendation to you is to always have a lint-free light colored absorbent cloth to blot away water that gets on the leather and to have a rain coat for your bag to protect it in the rain

  1. Aged vachetta is cuter like I really hate a brand new vachetta look. It irks me. Will say the water stains are annoying though. A mysterious liquid messed up the bottom of my Stephen Sprouse Keepall and I was mad for a minute but I also donโ€™t care much. Like bags are meant to be used. I get if you want to resell itโ€™s best to keep it cleaned but tbh if youโ€™re just using it who cares.. Just my thots!!

  2. I personally love the dark color it gets overtime. The darker color patina go wells with the rest of the aesthetic. And itโ€™s ridiculous to use the bag with all the rain cover and protection.

  3. I have never nor will I ever pay thousands of dollars for a purse I would rather have that money in my pocket. People are so busy trying to impress someone else lol they have been paying for Chinese made goods and didnโ€™t know it why I donโ€™t know .

  4. Itโ€™s not irreversible. I removed way worse spots than that from lv vachetta. Alternating saddle soap and leather conditioner will even the color and make it spot free

  5. After I watched the Chinese guy in tiktok exposed these very expensive bags, every time I see people with expensive bags, my mind says China made, China made! There is nothing wrong with China made products but prices like this brand in store…. a big sh*t

  6. Iโ€™m so glad I always though LV was ugly and overpriced! The only items that I thought looked good are the trunks. But those are still way over priced

  7. My wife loves LV bags so this time I decided to buy a high quality LV bag from EleganceReps, and when I surprised her with her favourite bag she was so happy and loved it.

  8. I LOVE the look of Patina. It brings it from the brand new tacky color to a rich deep golden. Looks like it was actually used for itโ€™s purpose

  9. I'm amazed they haven't learnt how to waterproof it from water stains for the price. Instead of people needing to spray leather protector themselves, which is essentially what everyone does.

  10. Honestly, many wealthy people buy replicas because they love the design but donโ€™t always want to splurge. I have a mix of real and fake bags, and my best replicas are from Regbags. The quality is stunning, and they hold up beautifully. Itโ€™s all about smart shopping and choosing what works for you!

  11. Just let it stain, it adds character. If you have to have a โ€œraincoatโ€ to protect your bag, to me, that bag is worthless. You have a bag to carry your bag, does that make sense to anyone else? Just use the โ€œraincoatโ€ to carry your stuff. โ€ฆalso Iโ€™m a guy, I donโ€™t carry bags.

  12. When I get a new oneโ€ฆI put olive oil on all the handles and piping and sit it in the sun for 3 days. GORGEOUS every time! I hate the way the handles look when itโ€™s new.

  13. My Speedy 30 is 22 years old and the handles are a mess. I donโ€™t care and the funny thing is that when I use it people still admire it.

  14. Vachetta = Untreated veg tan leather. That's not to say it's bad quality, but yep, it will suck up every single stain imaginable.

If you want to protect this, of course you can. But that protection will be part of the patina.
On a basic level, Beeswax and a little heat. Buff gently.

Saphir offer all kinds of leather treatments, Renovateur or Creme Universelle leather balm are great.

The take away is that, no matter what, you're doing something that will change the leather. Just deal with it and use something that shows you care for the product.

  15. I love the patina process of the vachetta leather. Louis Vuitton isnโ€™t the only designer who uses vachetta leather. Dooney and Bourke also uses vachetta leather. I love the quality of the handbags. โค๏ธ
