Anyone have any suggestions on trying to "untie" these bolts of those nut? When im turning it, the not + bolt are both spinning and the nut isn't budging at all.
The otherside of this bolt is a flat head nut and I'm basically completely lost in trying to get this off. Any suggestions?
Its the nut that anchors the inner shifter cable….

If its knackered which it sounds like it could be then you probably want to replace it anyway. So for me it’d either be a set of maul grips on the ‘head’ to grip it tight or use a dremel or grinder to grind a slot in the head to get a screwdriver in there. Or cut the nut off but obviously a grinder is a potential disaster waiting to happen so IF you have to go that route go slow, go steady and use your brain 🤷♂️
You could grab the exposed threads with locking pliers and try to get the nut started. Hopefully once you break the initial tightness you won’t need to hold on to the threaded portion the whole time
