hi everyone, I recently purchased this road bike and realized that the pedals have one side flat and one side that has this, I am wondering what shoes/ cleats are compatible with these pedals . I am new to cycling and don’t know much about clipless pedals an stuff, thanks in advance!

SPD type clip in. Many shoes will have the needed holes to bolt in the needed attachment. Great way to go. I have almost all my bikes with this type of pedal, SPD on one side and flat on the other.
I’m not sure that it is a clipless system. Is there spring tension on the rear of the cleat? If there is not it may be a positioning cleat for toe clip pedals.
Going with a modern system like road SPD or MTB SPD is a better choice.
Those are SPD style which means a 2 bolt shoe and cleat.
