My theory is that, ok so yall remember how in season 2 011 reunites with 008 and then when eleven runs away 008 wipes her nose and her power is to make people see things what if when 008 wipes her nose it’s because she is making eleven see everything that happens from the end of season 2 to season 4 and then 008 makes her stop seeing the fake reality and then eleven is back being chased by the police
Vecna not being the main villain would actually be kinda cool, depending on how they did it and who the actual main villain was. Karen as Alice makes no sense because she's way older than Alice would be. If it turns out to be D&D or a dream I'll be fuming

But Will doesn't look like a vecna. And then he sabotages everything and soon Wills final form will activate turning him into a second Vecna and the team will have to kill him and he will either die or they will heal him.
I have a theory, I agree that Vecna is probably not going to be the main villain because in the Season 5 Trailer we all saw Will showing Mike a drawing of a three headed dragon, but think about it. Vecna and Will are very similar in history. Because Vecna has been drawing things since he was little and they all came to life in the upside down. So, what If that’s it the same situation as Will? What if his three headed dragon picture comes to life and they have to fight it. I also have a theory for what they will call the dragon: The Thesselhydra. Because in D&D in season 2 when they were playing D&D they had to fight a similar looking creature called the Thesselhydra. And all of the other monsters have been named after D&D basically, such as Vecna, the Flayed, The Mind Flayer, and the Demogorgan.
